In addition to the seductive charm of these villages and towns, the natural environment offers numerous opportunities for walking or cycling. The calm river that flows next to our campsite invites you to refreshing canoe trips and invigorating swimming moments. For the adventurous among us, there are impressive mountains to explore, where you can hike and even climb via ferrata routes. Furthermore, the area is home to a wealth of mysterious caves waiting to be explored.
Around the campsite, you’ll find numerous charming villages to explore or enjoy a delightful lunch. One of these gems is La Vinzelle, a picturesque village just a stone’s throw away. There’s also a shorter 2 km route through the village itself, perfect for families with young children.

La Vinzelle is known as a pilgrimage site in the Aveyron region. The village lies along the route to Santiago de Compostela, so you’re rarely walking alone—there’s always a lively atmosphere. In addition to being a pilgrim destination, La Vinzelle is also considered one of the most beautiful villages in France, making it an unmissable stop during your vacation.
Enjoy wonderful hiking trails, almost all of which offer stunning views of the picturesque village. It’s the perfect destination for a relaxing nature-filled adventure!
Saint-Parthem is just a stone’s throw from the campsite and can be reached in several ways. You can drive there (though some roads are narrow and winding), take a scenic farm cart path along the river, or—perhaps the most enjoyable option—travel by water. Drifting towards the village is a fantastic way to experience the beautiful surroundings.
Once you arrive, treat yourself to something tasty at the waterside eatery. The walk back to the campsite is a short and easy 1 km route. Still have energy left? Visit the mini-museum to get a taste of local history!
Every Wednesday evening, Saint-Parthem transforms into a culinary paradise with a lively food market. You’ll find around 10 different stalls offering delicious local dishes and drinks. It’s a must-add to your vacation plans!
This special place is well hidden in the landscape, but we’ve already found it for you! Peyrusse-le-Roc is an absolute must-visit for all ages. While strolling through this historic village, you’ll discover seven impressive monuments, each breathtakingly beautiful.

Whichever route you take, a visit to Peyrusse-le-Roc is a unique experience you won’t forget!
The pedestrian and cycle bridge makes it possible to take longer walks directly from the campsite. The bridge connects to a new hiking route that runs from Conques to Cahors. Saint-Parthem will become a rest point for walkers and cyclists using this route. For cyclists, the old route along the D42 will be moved to the safe side of the river. This makes the Route de Vallée du Lot much safer, with less traffic.
